5 to 12, on a single iPhone. At 5 the game stays simple (one Plotter); from 6 players, two Plotters and the Duellist join in, and Loners appear at big tables.
No. The tavern keeper is the app: it deals the roles, runs the night, dawn, debate and vote, counts the votes and announces the winner. Everyone plays.
Every turn starts with “Pass the phone to…”: the right player holds the button to open, then holds again to hide. And since everyone takes the phone every night to name a suspect, the length of a turn gives nobody away.
The debate is set from 1 to 5 minutes per day. Depending on the table, a game lasts twenty to forty minutes, and “Play again with the same table” restarts right away.
No, the rules are original: the night rumour, the Guard's alibi, the Duellist's duel, the Pickpocket's stolen purse, the Gambler's secret bet… Only the setting comes from Héros de Comptoir, another LaCobble game.
Their side (Regular, Plotter or Loner), never their exact role. On a tied vote, a tavern brawl: nobody leaves.
A one-time in-app purchase adding three roles: the Spy, the Bard and the Smuggler. The free Le Comptoir pack is enough for complete games.
